Chuck

UPDATE: Chuck is now available on Amazon Prime Video in Canada

Chuck is a great television series that launched in 2007 about a computer geek working at a store called the Buy More as a computer technician. While working his everyday job he gets a e-mail from a old college "friend" which downloads all of the computer files from a joint CIA and NSA super computer into his head. At this point the CIA and NSA both send their top agents to find out who chuck is and who, if anyone he is working for, and to try and get their secrets back.

Once they realize who Chuck is and what is happening with the situation the CIA and NSA decide to have the agents stay with Chuck to protect him and the secrets in his head. John Casey (NSA) starts working with Chuck at the Buy More and living in an apartment next door. Sarah Walker (CIA) gets a job at Wienerlicious a German hotdog restaurant located across the street from the Buy More which in later seasons is changed into a frozen yogurt store called Orange Orange. to protect him outside of work she pretends to be Chucks girlfriend as her cover.

Needless to say the general idea of the show is each episode different missions with a general plot for each season. The show lasted for 5 seasons each one developing new plots and advancing the characters relationships in a way you would expect from any drama, with great comedy and action to go with it.

Revenge

I have just finished watching the first season of Revenge. I didn't bother watching it at first thinking it was just a boring chick flick type of soap opera. Then a friend tells me that although it is somewhat soap operaish it is pretty good. I have gotten a some good suggestions from him in the past, so I had no choice but to give it a try.

The general story line is a very rich women moves into the house she and her father lived in when she was a child. The catch behind this is that the family next door is responsible for framing her father for an act of terrorism when she was a young child. So the entire first season of this show revolves around her getting her revenge on the family and other people involved in the conspiracy that ruined her life.

The way she manages to mess with these people is great. Most of these people have no clue whats happening until it's too late, and these people end up in jail, dead, or they just have their entire life destroyed.

In short I would recommend this show to just about anyone who enjoys crime dramas, its not the same as a crime drama, but I don't think it will disappoint.
